On the public beach of Gökkuşağı a new beach-lift was presented by the municipality Alanya under the motto Alanya barrier-free city. People with disabilities are assisted in swimming. Now anyone can freely access the beach by lift, which is the first time in Turkey.
The unobstructed beach-lift, which allows disabled people to reach the sea individually without the help of anyone, has been opened for the use by handicapped people. The prepared platform can be installed before the summer season and removed during the winter season.
