From our customers’ own experience, we have here a summary of the procedure for exchanging driving licenses.
The driver’s license from your own country is only valid for a specific period in Turkey. This driving license is valid for 6 months in Turkey, after which it must be renewed immediately. This means that if you stay in Turkey for more than 6 months, you must have your driver’s license translated. However, if you fully migrate to Turkey, the driver’s license must be exchanged for a Turkish one. This can be done at the relevant police department.
So don’t miss the period of these 6 months, be prepared!
