Many owners are unsure about the current situation of getting the Ikamet, there are many rumors circulating that lead to irritation.
Married couples still don’t have to worry, even if only one of them is a property owner in Turkey. The marriage certificate with an apostille (translated into Turkish and certified by the local notary) must be attached to the Ikamet application, so that the spouse without a property also receives a residence permit.
After the elections (probably in May 2023) positive developments on the subject are expected and changes to the laws will be implemented.
