The city of Alanya has made the necessary preparations, so that the so-called art streets are ready for the tourist season. Particular importance is attached to the allocation of the tribunes to recruit as many women as possible. The creation of the streets is intended to prevent the loss of manual work and to pass it on to future generations. Alanya has a total of 6 of these art streets. They are located in the port area, on Damlataş, each in Oba and Mahmutlar, in front of the entrance to the castle and on the Halk pazarı. A committee checks at certain times whether the products meet the acquiered conditions. The stalls offer local and traditional items, handicrafts, knitwear, gifts and accessories.
