With the new decision of the Immigration Office (Göç dairesi) emigrants: citizens of Iraq, Iran and Syria will no longer receive a residence permit based on a lease from 2020 onwards. Persons from these countries who own a property and have a land registration (Tapu) continue to be entitled to a residence permit.
