In order to offer real estate buyers more certainty in their guidance by real estate agents, according to the TTPP – The Association of Turkish Real Estate Experts, real estate agents must take exams and receive a certificate of real estate expertise in Alanya, if successful.
According to the new real estate law in Turkey, which was published in June 2018, a person or company in Turkey cannot guide buyers without this certificate of professional competence. Brokers are expected to have achieved the Level 4 and Level 5 Certificate of Professional Competence by the end of 2019.
This means that when buying or renting property in Turkey you can ask your broker’s certificate of competence. If one does not have this, the broker works illegally.
If you want to take safe steps in the real estate sector in Turkey, it is best to work with certified companies. Do not work with waiters in restaurants, hotel receptionist, taxi drivers, street vendors, or caretakers who market your property on the internet without your knowledge. You will never get what you are entitled to and you will never be successful in a dispute.
