The sacrifice feast is the highest Islamic feast and takes place annually on the tenth day of the Islamic month Dhu-I-Hijjah. This feast is not organized according to the monthly calendar and therefore does not take place every year on the same day. Muslims are expected to dress in their best clothes and go to the mosque to pray for the feast. In addition, this Islamic feast includes sacrificing an animal, of which the meat is distributed to the needy.
