Growth forecast for Turkey

Paris – The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has revised the growth forecast for Turkey.

“Growth has continued to recover in recent months. Substantial government incentives are stimulating domestic demand more than previously expected, and currency devaluation supports exports,” says the report released Tuesday.

The OECD has increased Turkey’s growth forecast for 2019 to 0.3%, compared to minus 0.3% in the previous period. The forecasts for the coming two years have also been adjusted upwards by the organization. From 1.6 percent to 3 percent for 2020 and 2.3 percent to 3.2 percent for 2021.
