According to Greenpeace, Turkey would meet the energy needs of 35,000 households with green energy from solar energy with its 18 football stadiums, visited by thousands of people every week. The first division club Antalyaspor is one of the few clubs that is active in the production and sale of solar energy. Their stadium, which opened 4 years ago and can accommodate 33,000 spectators, produces 1.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. The unused energy is supplied to the municipal electricity grid.
