Many things are progressing in Turkey, now an energy performance certificate has also been introduced in Turkey (Turkish: Enerji kimlik belgesi).
This is mandatory for new buildings that have received a building permit after 01/01/2011, without an energy certificate it is no longer possible to obtain the housing permit (Iskan) for these new buildings.
In 2020, this ID should also be required for the changes to the land register. No real estate will be transferred without an energy certificate. However, this rule is not yet in force.
The classifications are similar to those in Europe. This is a further step for energy and environmental awareness in Turkey.
