From January 1st, 2024, new laws will come into force that will restrict the holiday letting of real estate in Turkey. All lettings that are shorter than 100 days are considered holiday lettings. Property, that you would like to rent out in this way must be registered with the authorities and you will receive an appropriate plague. The holiday guests must be registered in the system with their name, length of stay and rental price, so that the taxes due are properly paid and can be transferred correctly. Lettings can only be done through companies that have an appropriate license. Failure to comply will result in heavy penalties and fines.
