Not only Turkish citizens in Germany who have previously renounced their citizenship because they do not want to renounce their Turkish citizenship will benefit from the new legislation.
Germans living in Turkey will be able to apply for Turkish citizenship without a retention permit AFTER THE LAW COMES INTO EFFECT ON June 27, 2024. This is a great advantage, especially in view of the increasingly restrictive procurement practices for retention approval.
