Turkey’s ready-to-wear and apparel sector exported goods worth around $3.2 billion in January and February this year. The majority of this ($2.3 billion) comes from the metropolis of Istanbul, followed by the provinces of Bursa ($267 million) and Izmir ($226 million). The most important buyer country was Germany ($567 million), followed by Spain ($359 million) and the Netherlands ($260 million). The sector posted revenues of around $1.9 billion with exports to the EU.
