The US agency Fitch has increased the rating for Turkey. The rating will be raised one step from “B” to “B+”, Fitch announced. The outlook also improved from “stable” to “positive”. Fitch justified this with a tighter monetary policy approach in Turkey to combat inflationary trends in the country. “The upgrade reflects increased confidence in the durability and effectiveness of the measures implemented since the transition in June 2023,” it said.
