The traditional Christmas market of Alanya will take place for the 8th time this year, on the 2nd Sunday of December. Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ every year on December 25th and in this honor Christmas markets are held every year in December in Christian countries. A lot of European Christians live in our city, so the Foreigners Advisory Council of Alanya decided 8 years ago to also hold a Christmas market in Alanya for the Christians who live here. At the one-day Christmas market you will find many stalls of foreign and local associations, as well as private and business stalls of foreign and Turkish companies. The proceeds of the Christmas market are donated every year to people with disabilities.
The Christmas market is visited not only by Europeans, but also by many local residents. Here you can see the harmony between many cultures!
